Great Nursing Shoe!! These shoes are awesome. After wearing them for only a few days, I felt they had molded to my feet and were so comfortable. I stand on my feet for up to 13-14 hours/day and have had no knee or back pain since wearing these shoes. I have been told that your heel should fit loosely in these and that ordering a size larger is recommended. I did order a size larger and they feel great. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone in healthcare or that stands for long periods of time. I am sure you will be pleased.
Hurt my toes/heel - I own some Dansko mules (open back clogs) and love them! However, I tried the closed back clogs and the plastic heel support hurt my heel when I tried these on. Also, I’m wondering if the size was wrong so I am exchanging for the next size up. I usually wear a 7 1/2 or an 8, so I’m exchanging for a 39 instead of a 38, BCBG Dida Pump. I like to wear the mules w/o socks, but the clogs were rough inside, so I think socks are a must.
These clogs are as comfortable as a shoe could possible be. They are great for walking in. The best testimonial that I can give to these shoes is that I own 5 pairs of them currently. Wearwise, they are fine. They don’t wear excessively quickly. I highly reccomend this particular model (I haven’t tried any of their other models).
I had such high hopes for these shoes. I read the reviews, most of which were very favorable, and was impressed by the fact that most were written by women who spend all day at work on their feet. I’m on my feet all day at work as well, and I really need something comfortable. I tried some Rockports, and they were foot-killers. These Danskos were just as bad, and I’ve given them some time, thinking they needed a break-in period. They’re horrible. I’m out a lot of money, I can’t return them now that they’ve been worn, and I’m very bummed out. I’ve had better luck with some inexpensive L.L Bean Comfort Clogs.
This is a sharp loking shoe. I usually take a 7 or 7 1/2, and I needed a 37. I am new to dansko shoes, and I found it to be a little stiff, compared to the dansko Jocelyn. I found the jocelyn to be much more comfortable right out of the box. Great shoes.
Great shoes, but they don’t “break in” Don’t get me wrong, I love my Danskos; however, I don’t like the felling of my toe slightly touching the end and a size larger would be too big. I thought that I might be able to break them in, but after one month that hope now seems far fetched. All that being said, I would still recommend them and buy them again.
Dansko vs. Clarks - I’ve been wanting a pair of closed Dansko Clogs for years, and finally decided to go for it! Went to my favorite on-line shoe store and Zappos had a sale on the Clark clogs–very similar and half the price. So I ordered both brands in the same size, but different colors…hoping the Clarks in the great Sand color would fit. And it wasn’t bad. I probably would have bought the Clarks if I hadn’t tried the Dansko. But there was no comparison. The Dansko was immediately comfortable and the perfect size.
My favorite shoe of all time! This shoe is by far the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. I wear mine year ’round, all day long, and my feet do not tire. These clogs seem to last much longer than any comparable shoe. I’m now on my 4th pair and will continue to buy them for as long as they’re being made. I’ve tried other clogs, including ones made by Dansko, but this style is the best for comfort and fit. Black seems to hide wear marks better than the brown, but I’d gladly own both. Also, Zappos had the best price for these that I could find on the Internet or in retail stores. These clogs are worth every penny!
I work in the medical field and this is where I first heard about them and decided to buy some decent looking shoes that would look nice with a pair of pants (vs. wearing running shoes or trail hikers). when I first got ‘em, I was a little dissapointed and worried that I spend over $100 for a pair of shoes that weren’t what all the hype was about. But I kept wearing them over the course of 2 weeks. I left these in my closet for about a month as I wore some new running shoes, and then one day, pulled them out and put them on. Low and behold, the were the most comfortable pair of closed toe shoes I owned!!! I was floored! but figured those 2 weeks must have been the breakin period for these, letting the leather mold to my foot and so on. Now, I love them, and am working on my second pair in the sonja style! I can wear them with a nice pair of pants, or with lounge wear and jeans. I’m 23 and they don’t look “old…”just a nice understated shoe full of comfort!!!
